JDaniel Posted December 30, 2017 Share #26 Posted December 30, 2017 I am heading to Florida on Feb. 28th. If we can get the trailer to Ohio I can deliver it to Mike.
Joe in WV Posted December 31, 2017 Share #27 Posted December 31, 2017 (edited) As My daughter lives in Jacksonville, Fl and is having a baby in Feb. I will be traveling down to Florida a lot this year. If we can get it closer (to the east coast) I will bring it the last leg. Woody Posted December 31, 2017 Share #28 Posted December 31, 2017 I'll be heading to Cantonment, Fla. in May or if it needs to be stored in Talladega Alabama I have room for it and I am sure my Dad will let it rest a while in Cantonment if need be. JDaniel Posted January 6, 2018 Share #29 Posted January 6, 2018 If we can get it started east I can pick it up in Illinois or Indiana and take it the rest of the way to Florida. Any members out west who can start it east?
videoarizona Posted January 6, 2018 Share #30 Posted January 6, 2018 I'm having a lot of trouble with my schedule right now. It seems I'm always on the road between Phoenix and Tucson. But I'm about 7 hours from Kanab area. If I can get some time in the next couple of weeks, can I tow trailer with my Yukon XL? I have standard 2" ball. But I'm concerned with the height of the hitch which is set for my sailboat. I think I have a 4 inch drop I can put on unless I gave it away... thoughts? Joe in WV Posted January 7, 2018 Share #31 Posted January 7, 2018 (edited) I believe he has a 1 7/8" ball coupler on it now. It's bent up and can't be used, so he ordered an new one. As they are only $7.99 at Harbor Freight, I don't see why it just couldn't be swapped out with a 2" ball coupler, they are only held on with 2 bolts. ************* OR ************ They use to sell 1 7/8 balls with a 3/4" shank and a bushing that made the shank 1". That would probably be easier to swap out and send down the line. Edited January 7, 2018 by Joe in WV
Flyinfool Posted January 9, 2018 Share #32 Posted January 9, 2018 If you put a 2" coupler on the trailer to get it started then it will not work on a bike down the road. It would be easier to get the 1-7/8 ball to put on your receiver. It might make it easier to find relay links if you start a dedicated thread?
