As we were leaving the thriving metropolis of down town Cedar key, FL on our way back to our campground this afternoon around 2:20 PM I spotted someone on an RSV heading towards all the action.

Who are you? Are you a member here? If not, you should be.

I almost made a U-turn and tracked you down but our pool and a margurita were calling me.... :Bunny:

Have you seen much damage from the Hurricane in the Keys?

Going towards Key West when you get to mile marker 30 there is a stop light. Turn right and take the ride side of the split in the road and that will take you to No Name Pub which is interesting in that the entire place is covered with dollar bills inside. And going farther you will get to see some Key Deer. They aren't much larger than dogs. Hint: If you have a banana peel and wave it in the air, they will come right up to you. It's illegal to feed them but the peel will get you a good photo of the midget deer.

Seems many folk don't realize that Cedar Key is nowhere near the "Florida Keys".

We are appx 3 hrs north of Tampa.

To answer your question though, there is no evidence of any weather related damage in this area.

How soon I forget. My wife and I went to Cedar Key when we lived in Homossassa, Fl for a year (2008) when I was working contract at the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant.

Yes but in most gas stations, the air inflation gun is made to fit cars & trucks & won't fit on Venture/ RSTD (& I suspect many other bikes too) front wheel due to the angle of the inflator gun head & the clearance needed for brake rotor. So how do you cope with that when out riding & needing air?

I carry a small compressor in my saddle bag. Added an external power outlet for that and other power needs

Well the tire I blew was on my Tahoe... I took an hour to change tire with ingenious jack that comes with it.. Thought I would never get it jacked up

You may have to pay Lock fees to get past a few of the dams. Unless you're Huck Finn that is?

Florida doesn't have an income tax so they have to get more creative to get the money to run the state.

The tankless air compressors at the gas stations these days puts water in your tires because when the air is compressed the dew point is lowered and water in the air condenses. With a tank you drain it to get the water out but with a tankless compressor the condensed water goes into your tires.

So, I'm guessing nobody on this site was the RSV you saw....

Either that or they haven't been on-line since.

Today I saw an RSTD parked amongst some Harlys. We were in Tony's Seafood Restaurant. Not long after we arrived a group of bikers came out of the back dining area and as I sized each of them up I somehow pegged one of them to be the owner. Sure enuf, he had to come back in to grab something he forgot so I caught his attention and asked him if he was a member here ... "nope... never heard of it" he said and away he went although we did get to exchange some quick convo regarding his bike and what we had.

In any event, his was a 2005 that he'd bought brand new and absolutely loved it.

When the thread is general BS in the first place, does it matter?

If someone is trying to resolve a technical issue, I can see why is shouldn't be hyjacked.
