Hey cowpuc (and anyone else who likes changing their own tires). Puc, you were looking for a compact "bead breaking tool" to take on a road trip? I think you did great on the video. Instructive and fun. As for the tool, looks like it works great and as you say, much easier than other methods that we try.

Only problem I see with the problem is sometimes the bolts are froze in the rotors like my front one was..

The rotor bolts are loctited so it helps to heat them first...

Finally getting back to my P.C. where I could respond to this thread @VanRiver !! OUTSTANDING find there Riv and WOWZY WOW WOW WOW = talk about an amazing job in video production!!

 

Of course,, being of the same kind of mind that you are (always and asking myself = can I build for cheaper than I can buy it and, if so,, can I build it to be more specific to my need) and after watching the tail end of the vid - I am now wondering what your thoughts are on copy catting that device with a similar design only maybe taller so the rotor wouldn't have to be removed??

WOWZY is that slick,,, if I am alive and still riding after shoveling my way thru the White Wash that Fool has planned for me,, I may just have to grab one of those things!! THANK YOU AMIGO!!!
