tz89 Posted October 28, 2017 #1 Posted October 28, 2017 Anyone had good luck with a rain cover. My cover they said would fit arrived today from Dennis Kirk. It doesn't fit. What are the lessons learned about brand and fitment? Thanks
Condor Posted October 28, 2017 #2 Posted October 28, 2017 Take a trip over to Cycle Gear and pick up one of there XL all weather bike covers. The best bang for the buck I've found. The nice thing is they have a 5 year warantee... or at least used to.... I picked up 5 over time just because of the warantee... I have a few bikes.... The other nice thing is they cost me $50 bucks each on sale. I think the've bumped it up to $60 lately, but it's still a heck of a deal.... The XL fits the 2Gen like a glove. The TD might take a Large, but bigger is better... :-) CYCLE GEAR COVER
vzuden Posted October 29, 2017 #3 Posted October 29, 2017 When looking for a cover I have found this to be a key feature (copied from the one in Condor's link): Weather-protected venting allows vapor escape and helps eliminate condensation
djh3 Posted October 30, 2017 #4 Posted October 30, 2017 I just had to buy another while on our trip to Tn and NC. My Nelson Rigg blew out first night up there. LOL It was like 5-6 yr old. Had a small rip when I put it on Sun night. Monday morning it had a tear from front to back seam. I had to go with a XXL to get it over trunk on the Victory Cross Country, thats the same size I had for the RSV.
