Venturous Randy Posted October 16, 2017 #1 Posted October 16, 2017 Every time I turn on my laptop I get a box with VCRUNTIME140.dll download not installed. If I click on the X it goes away and everything seems to run fine. What do I need to do to SAFELY get rid of this? This is on my good computer and I don't trust many of the download fixes. Thanks, Randy
Freebird Posted October 16, 2017 #2 Posted October 16, 2017 Google search found this: vcruntime140.dll would point to Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015. If this does not show up in your Apps & features (Control Panel>Programs & features) list you can download and install it from here. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685
Condor Posted October 16, 2017 #3 Posted October 16, 2017 I just did a google search on it and found a bunch of info. [h=3]How to Fix VCRUNTIME140.dll is Missing Error on Windows?[/h]https://ugetfix.com/ask/how-to-fix-vcruntime140-dll-is-missing-error-on-windows/
Venturous Randy Posted October 16, 2017 Author #4 Posted October 16, 2017 Okay, I just tried Don's recommendation and after a shutdown and restart, it did not come back. I did some research before coming here and there were too many websites that came up and I don't trust any of them. Thanks don and condor for your help. Just another reason I have been here for a long time and not even riding now. Randy
