mkuspa Posted October 6, 2017 #1 Posted October 6, 2017 New owner here with an audio issue. I recently purchased a 2007 Royal Star Venture, and love the bike but seem to have an intermittent radio issue. The speakers cut out occasionally in all modes. All four speakers cutout while power remains to the head unit. It almost seems as if the mute out because music can still be fairly heard coming through. I would guess a loose connection or corroded terminal, but thinking it must be near the main unit since all speakers go faint? Wondering if anyone has experienced this or if a wiring diagram is located on this site somewhere. Thanks for any advice.
Rafterd Posted October 6, 2017 #2 Posted October 6, 2017 Split the farring. Unplug all the connections and coat with Deoxit and reassemble.

Freebird Posted October 6, 2017 #5 Posted October 6, 2017 Before you do any of that, check that the squelch on the CB radio isn't causing it. If it is set too low, it will try to received distance signals and cut the radio and etc. off. Either turn the CB off or set the squelch on 20 and see if it still happens.
MikeWa Posted October 7, 2017 #6 Posted October 7, 2017 Better yet turn the CB off and see how the radio works. If it is ok practice with the CB settings until you get a good combination of controls for you. Mike
mkuspa Posted October 9, 2017 Author #7 Posted October 9, 2017 Thanks a lot for the advice! I had know idea about the CB, turned it off works like a charm! Thanks again
