You know Brad,

It would probably be a good switched source to trigger a relay to provide power to an external fuse panel or maybe a set of running lights? That way you are just pulling miliamps from it, even if it's part of a circuit monitored by the computer. But if it has a 20 amp fuse, you could probably used it for anything? But to be safe, I'd probably use it as a relay trigger.

Rick

On wiring diagram, this circuit is powered from the signal fuse, which is controlled from the main key switch.

No other components involved with powering this plug.

Signal fuse is a 20 amp circuit.

could it be an aftermarket thingy?

Howard,

This is a 4 year old thread, I think Squidly may have it under control. Sometimes these old ones pop up now & then.

This original item was the connector for the California vapor canister.

There is a brown and white lead for turn signal / flasher unit that has white marks

The horn has a brown lead but does not have any white marks

Front & rear brake lights have a brown lead, but does not have any white marks)

There is a brown lead for the neutral indicator light but does not have any white marks

I want one of those front brake lights on my bike! Does anyone make an adapter to fit one to my Gold Wing?:stickpoke::stirthepot:

:sign yeah that:

I vaguely remember that connector when I pulled the emissions canister off of the Beast.

You can buy the canister for $1,000, or I will give it away to any member of the forum . . .:whistling:
