Earlier this week I said good bye to a good friend. But also said hello to a new one.4c7b3408bd6bf13335f2bb541ad548db.jpga2c26675780a35efbfe99df735501f3c.jpg

Would you do a review of the pluses and minuses of each bike?

A carpenter contractor whom we used to remove a wall and install some new windows in our home two years ago has a 1983 Blond Yamaha Venture. We recently contacted him to do some more work for us and he showed up riding a really nice looking 92 green Goldwing. He seemed to be really pleased with his Honda. He still has his Venture, but will probably sell it.

You can never go wrong with Honda, car or bike (aside from a short period where select automatics were fragile). Truly fantastic reliable well built machines. I would have been on a wing if it had more legroom. Awesome looking bike, would be interesting to hear a fun comparison after you grab a few more miles on it. I'll bet it's less finicky than the Venture (or at least my Venture).

I had a 2000 Wing ( The last of the 1500's) before I sold it for my 2nd Gen. Venture. It was a great bike...smooth, quiet with all the amenities you could want. The only reason I sold it was I was having hip issues and the inability to move my feet more forward aggravated the hip problem.

You should get many many miles of smiles with that.
