Moped and I enjoy going on rides in Southeastern Indiana, to go to Church chicken dinners. We have not gone to as many this year as we normally do. Today we are riding to Brookville, Indiana to go to St. Michael's Festival. We have to get there before 3PM because other wise we will miss the chicken dinner. They even have home baked bread. Good eatin! Any way, the weather is perfect, and I am raring to go. Have a good day!P1050549.jpg

WE did the Chick Fil-lay??? (Spelling.) thing last night. Won't make that mistake again. IT SUCKS!!!

Chick filet here is closed on Sundays. thats so they can go to church and stuff, I didnt know they would even open else where on Sundays it was my understanding it was a requirement in the franchise part.

They were open here and I've been meaning to try them for a while. Scratched that itch and won't try again. Maybe if its 3 in the morning nothing else open and I'm REAL HUNGRY!!!!:backinmyday:

Only chicken places I like is Charlies and Popeyes, kids seem to like the chick filet but I only found the grilled chicken good enuff to give a second thought, as I have got to try most the other stuff they have. They are the only ones around who have the indoor play place for the kids.

Brain Fart, started typing play place and called it plumbing...

I must be the last man on earth that likes KFC Origonal recipe. I tried my best to keep the KFC open here in town, but when Walmart moved in and started selling deli roasted chickens and tenders, it was too much for KFC and they closed down. That said, Popeye's spicy is very good too and their biscuits are the best.

I am more of a KFC extra crispy but even though a walmart opened almost directly across the street from KFC, I have managed to single handedly keep them open.

I still want to head out to Quaker Steak and lube to try their insainly hot chicken that you have to sign a waiver to order..........:225:

kfc every time I hear that I think of my grandparents. Went to visit them and walked in and the man in white was playing cards at the kitchen table. Every time he was in town they played cards there. and he always had chicken with him. Very nice man. That's a good memory for me.

Boys, I think you misunderstood what I termed chicken dinner. I am talking homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles, gravy, green beans and ham, applesauce, and coleslaw. Choice of desserts and beverages, and homemade bread and butter. c700x420.jpg I am talking good chicken dinner, We rode there, we ate there and we got home from there. Good eatin! No franchise food.

THANKS MAMA!!! Headed south for a few days break. I'm gonna find me a Popeye's!! Haven't tried that one yet. The one we ate at during the Vogel that we hooked up with Puc ( no that's Yammer Dan) was pretty good chicken. BUT MAMA IS RIGHT!!! Nothing beats a old fashioned CHICKEN DINNER!!

Not too picky when it comes to chicken,...but I do like Chic fil a .....I can't understand what y'all don't like about it, especially since the service and attitude of the employees is over the top.

Having said that....as far as the QS&L Atomic wings go, you can save a few bucks and take it a bit easier on yourself if you just squirt some lighter fluid on your tongue and light it, and let it burn for 10 minutes or so.

I can eat some fairly hot wings without too much issue, but I tried those once, and they're inedible.

You may want to do it as a challenge, but there's no way to enjoy it.:shock3::scorched::shock3::sign67::ignore:

Just sayin :2cents:

It is the principal of it, I have never yet had a wing that was to hot to enjoy. I had a running thing going with the chef at a place that I frequented, that his hottest wings were still not hot, he was constantly searching for hotter recipes. He never found one that was to hot for me to enjoy. So Yea, could call it a challenge.

"A man has to know his limitations" I just have not found mine yet.

I've had the atomic wings. Signed their "waver" and etc. I think that waver thing is just a gimmick and getting to put your name on the wall is also a gimmick.

OK, yes, they were hot. I love hot food also and have a fairly high tolerance but will admit that these were hot. They were not unbearable though. I don't know how many ways that they come but my order came with 5 wings and a jalapeno in a styrofoam egg type tray. I was told that the jalapeno was to cool you off. The waiter left and when he came back, they were all gone. He asked me what happened to them and when I told him that I ate them, he seemed a bit shocked. I didn't bother to put my name on the wall, I thought that was a bit silly.

Yes, they were hot. To be honest though, they were hot enough that after I ate the first one, I had no problem eating the other 4 because my mouth was a little numb. They tasted pretty good but I don't know how much I actually tasted after the first bite.

So give them a try Jeff. If you like really hot food, you can handle them. There weren't the hottest thing I have ever eaten.
