sldunker Posted September 1, 2017 #1 Posted September 1, 2017 (edited) For those who have had both or driven both a RSV and a RSTD, is there much difference in weight on the top end. Seems to me the RSTD would be quite a bit lighter without fairing and trunk. Been thinking about picking up one to go with my RSV. I am referring to 2005 and up. Edited September 1, 2017 by sldunker
Kretz Posted September 1, 2017 #2 Posted September 1, 2017 IMO Both bikes are top heavy compared to some. However once on the move that disappears. The only time the weight is noticed is maneuvering around the garage & to some extent when stopping at junctions lights etc. esp riding two up.

vzuden Posted September 2, 2017 #4 Posted September 2, 2017 Having had both, I second that, or is it third that! The handling on the road seems about the same. I did some 10 and 12 hour days on the RSTD and last year a 15 hr haul on the Venture and don't see any difference. The softer seat on the Venture may be a little beneficial. My wife, has a strong preference for the Venture as a passenger
