etcswjoe Posted August 28, 2017 #1 Posted August 28, 2017 I just uploaded my Vogel pics to Photobucket and found out Photobucket no longer allows links from 3rd party sites unless you pay an annual subscription. I am not sure how I feel about this since all of my pcs I posted are linked to this account. I understand the rising cost of doing business but I am not paying what the amount they want to be able to host.
djh3 Posted August 29, 2017 #2 Posted August 29, 2017 Yup they did this a couple months back. All kinds of forums guys have pics linked and all you see is a notice that they need to update account.

etcswjoe Posted August 29, 2017 Author #4 Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) So why not upload your pix here? I have just been too lazy to resize them, however that is what I will probably do from now on. @Freebird, Did Photobucket raise the price you are paying? Edited August 29, 2017 by etcswjoe
camos Posted August 29, 2017 #5 Posted August 29, 2017 I have just been too lazy to resize them, however that is what I will probably do from now on. Oh well, we all get lazy at some point. I resize all my photos to 640 x 480 which is a very adequate resolution for a website and doesn't unnecessarily overload the storage. Re-sizing isn't the only thing, and arguably more important, is re-orienting images so no one has to get a crick in the neck or stand on their head to view it. It's just a common courtesy.

Freebird, Did Photobucket raise the price you are paying? I haven't paid for a while. This is an entirely different thing though. I think I once paid for more space but now they are charging to LINK. Very overpriced.
