4 way flasher

My 4 way flasher doesn't work. At some point in the past it did work. The turn signals work and cancel fine. I have swapped out the switch and the flasher from another bike still no go, they work in the other bike, Any ideas?

The 4 way does have its own fuse. I had it blow on my '89 and killed them.

 

Don't remember exactly where it is, I think it's in line rather than on the panel above the battery. Pretty sure you get to it under the false tank near the steering neck though.

Yes, it is on a separate fuse block that has 4 fuses on it. The other fuses are for the fan, audio, and "backup" and if I recall right, the block is on the side of the airbox or something like that, but not really mounted to anything...

Could have kept blowing and the PO removed it.

This actually just happened to me on my Maxim! She just stopped dead in the middle of the road. I pulled the seat and opened the (still original) fuse box and found the main fuse had popped free of the clips on one side.

 

Another reason to upgrade the fuse block!
