Gary N. Posted April 22, 2008 #1 Posted April 22, 2008 in today's local paper regarding U.S. border security since 9/11. http://www.canada.com/windsorstar/news/editorial/story.html?id=5f23c827-e295-44c7-9657-9fc6baf3a60c
sarges46 Posted April 22, 2008 #2 Posted April 22, 2008 Good article. There are so many small dirt roads that are unmanned to cross. Some areas have folks watching the border and calling in suspicous activity to the border guards but thats it.
BOO Posted April 22, 2008 #3 Posted April 22, 2008 Sort of like gun control isn't it? Hassle the honest person and the crooks still have the guns. Jerry
Redneck Posted April 22, 2008 #4 Posted April 22, 2008 Theres just no way you can convince me that the united states government is involved in anything that is slow inefficient and dumb.:rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:
Switch Posted April 22, 2008 #5 Posted April 22, 2008 Sounds to me like they want to drop security at the border using commerce as an excuse when in reality, it will make it easier for terrorists. They won't have to resort to those old dirt roads or cow trails they now use to cross. They'll be able to travel by car over paved roads cause no one will check them; but never mind that because intercontinental commerce is improved.
