Du-Rron Posted August 1, 2017 #2 Posted August 1, 2017 Does anyone have a good end on photo of the stator connector on a second gen Venture? Is so please post or PM me. Thanks Not end view though. Looks like triangle connector w/3 white wires in it.

Looks like triangle connector w/3 white wires in it. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=109892 Thanks but I need an end view of the mating part(s) so I can identify the connector on the various seller's websites.

Du-Rron Posted August 1, 2017 #5 Posted August 1, 2017 If this isn't helping... can you just buy your favorite connector, male & female, and reinstall wires to the new connector?
Flyinfool Posted August 1, 2017 #6 Posted August 1, 2017 If this isn't helping... can you just buy your favorite connector, male & female, and reinstall wires to the new connector? That was kind of my thought. There seems to be a fairly high failure rate on the stock connector. Maybe find a better connector set that is waterproof and/or a higher amp rating, to help keep out the corrosion that kills the stock connector.
M61A1MECH Posted August 1, 2017 Author #7 Posted August 1, 2017 Duron and Flyingfool, I have thought about doing that, using a different connector, but as it is for another owner, I wanted him to weigh in on that decision as he would have to make up the stator end and then would have a non standard bike side harness and should he ever need to replace the stator while on the road or away from home, he could not simply buy a stock stator and swap it out due to the potential mis-match of the connectors. I am sure it is not anything special, I just want to at least try to find him the stock replacement if I can. Thanks for the help.
mm482 Posted August 2, 2017 #9 Posted August 2, 2017 I have a good stator end connecter, I will try to get a picture posted tonight. Earl

djh3 Posted August 2, 2017 #12 Posted August 2, 2017 Thank you very useful. Except Joe is closed until like 20 August.
M61A1MECH Posted August 2, 2017 Author #13 Posted August 2, 2017 Yes I know and his website is down so I cannot even browse for the part. Having trouble finding decent alternate source without going to Japan or the UK. Del City has some as well as Corsa Tech, but Joe is much easier to deal with and more helpful.
djh3 Posted August 4, 2017 #14 Posted August 4, 2017 Yea I emailed him yesterday. He said he now takes the site down, because folks just cant read and comprehend. He posts closed from xxx until xxx. Orders will not be processed. And idiots still order stuff and then give him a migraine because it aint shipped and they dont have the part in a week or so. Somehow its his fault they dont read. Did you try Digikey? How about your little odd part place down the road?
M61A1MECH Posted August 4, 2017 Author #15 Posted August 4, 2017 That sounds like a good plan for Joe, I found two variations at CORSA TECH, Bongobob needed them in a rush, so I gave him the info and he ordered direct and will build his own harness. CORSA has a good selection, I just like Joe better.
djh3 Posted August 7, 2017 #16 Posted August 7, 2017 Yea I would rather work with him. He has helped me out more than once. I was in a jam this week and had to order elsewhere to get me thru.
bongobobny Posted August 7, 2017 #17 Posted August 7, 2017 Their shipping was very prompt as I had the connectors in a couple of days! Now if I can just get the weather and life events to align...
