Can anyone tell me a measurement of the front forks on a 2nd gen to see if it's been lowered, or how much? I tore it down to replace tires and go through rear end, swing arm, etc. Once I started I realized the rear had a lowering kit on it, took that off and going tomorrow to get a new caliper bracket to raise it back up with new links. It's up in the air without tires on it now. I'm going back with leveling links and need to make sure where the front end is (besides in front of the rear end). That being said I'll have a few parts on the classifieds soon: Baron (I think) lowering kit with 7-1/4" links, slip on mufflers (too loud for my taste), shorty tinted windshield, maybe more. Going back stock.

Easiest way to tell if the front end of your RSV has been lowered is to see if the top of the shock is level with triple tree. If it's level, the front end is at factory height. If the top of the shock is above the triple tree the front had been lowered.

These shocks are above the tree, so this front end lowered.

Thank you. I didn't know if there was any other way to lower them, shorter springs etc. looks like all I have to do is replace the rear links and caliper bracket.
