10spd Posted July 30, 2017 #1 Posted July 30, 2017 How long should a AGM gell battery last? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Sylvester Posted July 30, 2017 #2 Posted July 30, 2017 Had my current AGM for five years. But my original Yuasa lasted seven years, the one after the Yuasa didn't survive well. I always keep the battery on a tender when at the shop. How long should a AGM gell battery last? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
frankd Posted July 31, 2017 #3 Posted July 31, 2017 My first Dekka AGM lasted just shy of 5 years. I usually get 4-5 years out of a conventional battery.
Flyinfool Posted July 31, 2017 #4 Posted July 31, 2017 My Dekka AGM lasted me 18 months, The Yuasa before that lasted 7 years and I now Have 6 years on the Yuasa after the AGM. I do not own a tender, the bike just sat for a full month of being totally ignored, not even being started and it cranked and fired right up no charger needed.

Similar luck with Dekka even though everyone swears by them. 2-ish years while using a tender and then just dead over a weekend. Yuasa have always given me 5+ yrs.
