This is what I call a close call

Between the Pine beetles and daily pop up thunderstorms with straight line winds pine trees are having a hard time here in Georgia. Seems like every day there is a different tree down on the property. This one came the closest to the house so far. The very top of the tree landed on the deck with no damage and missed the deck furniture as well.

Bob, you and me both, had one miss my bedroom this spring by a few feet. Had it hit the bedroom it would have fell in my bed. Not a comforting thought. Also with me in it.

Rode over to Bongobob's yesterday with some fellow Ventureriders. Saw many trees down there. Bob said they have had 4 or 5 tornadoes go through recently. Amazing damage where they twitch down. Glad you did' experience damage to your place.

Here we've had almost 5 weeks without any rain so trees are suffering, Cottonwoods are a PITA they just suddenly let loose with big branches.
