XV1100SE Posted July 25, 2017 #2 Posted July 25, 2017 See this - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?123932-Audio-Upgrades&highlight=polk+speaker Polk (waterproof) speakers have been used but you'll find that it isn't much of an improvement. Some have put a backing behind the speaker but the limitation is the speaker size and power output of the amplifier. You can do a search for Polk speaker and you'll find several threads on this. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/search.php?searchid=5337411 I use the headset in my helmet always (J&M)
XV1100SE Posted July 25, 2017 #3 Posted July 25, 2017 Check out http://www.toptenreviews.com/home/auto/best-marine-speakers/ but remember the size of the speakers. https://www1.crutchfield.com/shopsearch/4%22_marine_speaker.html Further about 4" speakers and results - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?108447-Question-about-speakers&highlight=speaker+size

Davvid Posted August 17, 2022 #5 Posted August 17, 2022 Bumping this up. I just got a 2012 Venture and it still has cassette player so looking. to upgrade to something better. Any advice would be much appreciated.
RDawson Posted August 17, 2022 #6 Posted August 17, 2022 I use a 12v Bluetooth receiver inside the fairing, plugs into the aux wire in there. I stream music from my phone. Many gut the cassette and make a small storage there, I installed charger ports behind the door.
saddlebum Posted August 17, 2022 #7 Posted August 17, 2022 I found the best cure for bad sounding speakers is to simply leave the sound system turned off. 1
Marcarl Posted August 17, 2022 #8 Posted August 17, 2022 Nothin better than QUIET. Gives a person time to think their own thoughts.
Davvid Posted August 19, 2022 #9 Posted August 19, 2022 Thank you very much. Do you use the stock speakers or did you install another pair of speakers? I have used the Boss Audio with the amp and 4 speakers in another bike and it was good.

I hop on the bike to get rid of human noise, other than the bike, and the breeze… 🤔😜 1
