Raven1294 Posted July 12, 2017 #1 Posted July 12, 2017 Was wondering if the 2005 RSTD came stock with a radiator cover or was that just an add on? Mine has a radiator cover which looks stock but it appears to be zip tied onto the bike so I am thinking its not stock, its painted black and appears to be made of fiber glass.
Freebird Posted July 12, 2017 #2 Posted July 12, 2017 Not stock. They came with no cover of any kind. Sounds like you have the Wagner cover. Steve was a great guy and a long time VentureRider member. He made many of them but sadly was taken away too early by the dreaded disease of cancer. I have one of his covers on my '05 also. Great product.

Raven1294 Posted July 18, 2017 Author #5 Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) It appears the Yamaha shop damaged the radiator cover when having it serviced to where 2 of the bolts broke off along with a big chunk of fiberglass, guess its time to get out the JB weld and repair and paint the cover Edited August 16, 2017 by Raven1294
Raven1294 Posted August 16, 2017 Author #6 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Well I repaired the radiator cover and decided to spray it with bedliner to protect it from rocks etc, turned out pretty good, now lets see how it holds up to rocks etc. Edited August 17, 2017 by Raven1294
