videoarizona Posted June 28, 2017 #1 Posted June 28, 2017 Wondering how these might work on a 2nd Gen? https://www.ledfactorymart.com/collections/jeep-led-headlights/products/led-headlight-drl-hi-lo-beam-for-jeep-wrangler
BratmanXj Posted June 28, 2017 #2 Posted June 28, 2017 Everything I've seen for a "sealed" 7" LED headlight would require cutting & gutting the stock headlamp bucket and gluing the light into place. I did see one where they bolted the HD Trim Ring Adapter through onto the RSV backing plate but didn't see much detail on how that worked out.
Rafterd Posted June 28, 2017 #3 Posted June 28, 2017 I put these in mine, but like the other guy said, you will have to take this bucket and the original bucket, cut them up and weld them together to make them fit. There was a picture showing what to do, I'll see if I can find it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/252386759299
Rafterd Posted June 28, 2017 #4 Posted June 28, 2017 You'll have to do a lot of work to do this. Cut this bucket plus the original bucket and weld them together. There was a picture I'll see if I can find it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/252386759299
Rafterd Posted June 28, 2017 #6 Posted June 28, 2017 The original bucket needs to be cut up. I took the screws and Springs, drilled and tapped the holes, and adapted them to the new bucket. good luck

Rafterd Posted June 28, 2017 #8 Posted June 28, 2017 Part of the original bucket is still there. The original mounts have been cut off. The height adjustment is gone. But the screws with Springs are now the adjustment and also mounts the new bucket to the old.

The Daymaker and the clone projector lights also come in a 5 3/4" version.
sfcrader Posted July 1, 2017 #10 Posted July 1, 2017 A lot of work is needed to do this. I did a small write with pics o how I did mine. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?120273-New-LED-passing-lamp-and-headlamp
