RideGear.com is not a good place to shop. I have seen complaints on other forums and have received comments confirming my bad experience. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau on a number of occasions. Has anyone here had experience good or bad with this company?

Just today I received a package from RideGear.com. I have to agree with your assessment, they are a BIG RIP OFF.

Originally we ordered a pair of riding boots which by the way they said were in stock. Low and behold after getting no information from them after two weeks, they said the boots were on back order and they would ship them as soon as they got in. A month later and we were still waiting when they sent the wrong size boots. Not only were they the wrong size they were not even close. We ordered a size 12 and got a size 4. Of course we sent them back and wanted a refund but they claimed the boots were on closeout. Now if something is on closeout how come they were on back order and they had to wait on them to come in. So by claiming they were a closeout item they refused to refund our money and gave us store credit. As PO'ed as I was my wife talked me into going ahead and getting something from there. So after we spent several days trying to decide what we wanted, we called them and ordered the stuff, we waited for them to CONFIRM that the items were actually in stock and were assured they were and they would be shipped within 2 days. A week later we get another email that stated "ITEMS ON BACK ORDER" I called them and chewed up one side and down another and all of a sudden the stuff had already been shipped. It just arrived today and it's being shipped right back and those SOB's better refund my money, or I'm gonna take a road trip and exact my revenge.

I had the exact same problem with trying to get a refund and suddenly finding out that what I ordered was on "clearance." I shunned them almost 2 years ago and haven't gone back since.

Similar problems here. After two weeks and three phone calls all assuring me that the problem had been corrected and the item would be shipped the next day, I finally got someone who told me the truth. The item was steeply discounted because it was discontinued and they had run out an couldn't get any more. They would happily sell me the new model at 10% off list... which was still higher than other places. They had charged my credit card on the day of the order. With all the delays and run-a-round, they used that money for almost a month before they refunded it. I think they live off that float.

I ordered a chatterbox set up from them & it came in a timely fashion. Prety good price. I then ordered two pairs of rain gear for mama & me at a really good price. This was in September I think (2 or 3 years ago), the stuff didn't arrive. I called after 1 month & they said the items were back ordered. I called after 2 months & they said they were discontinued & they would send me the new item for the same price. Well the season was over so I forgot about not recieving the rain gear. The next March I found the order when prepairing for income tax time & realized they had never sent me the stuff. I called them & they couldn't find my order because it was last year. I cancelled the order just in case they actually found it. Called a competitor and the gear was here with in a week. New models & the correct size. The only thing that was ok is that they never charged my card. DNB

This Ride Gear is a terrible company. Anyone having problems getting through to a human on the phone should dial in extension 106. That is the returns department.

Sorry to hear that guys. I've never had a problem with the online store and they opened a brick and mortar near me and they have the same prices as online.
