Grez007 Posted June 17, 2017 #1 Posted June 17, 2017 i am looking to order Progressive springs from Fortnine.ca, according to their website they don't have Model specific spring for my 83'. i checked the Progressive Suspension site and it says my bike uses part #11-1112 . so i go back to Fortnine.ca and search for that part # and it does come up but says it won't fit my bike??? is their database just not accurate enough? i did notice that on the Progressive site that there are model specific notes that say the required spacers come with the kit. possibly the ones from Fortnine.ca just don't come with the spacers? I would really rather order from a Canadian store to avoid duties and the poor dollar and its free shipping if I order from them. Also on a side note should these Progressive springs fit into 86' and up forks if i upgrade mine at a later date?
gaj1917 Posted June 17, 2017 #2 Posted June 17, 2017 I have these installed on my '84. You have the correct part number (11-1112). I'm not sure why FortNine would indicate that these won't fit your '83. Give them a call and inquire.
camos Posted June 18, 2017 #3 Posted June 18, 2017 The Mk I and Mk II forks are the same except for brakes and anti-dive units so Progressive springs will transfer just fine. There isn't much of an upgrade advantage from Mk I to Mk II bikes. It's worthwhile though to upgrade to the Mk II forks which have different and better brakes and can take an upgrade to R1/R6 calipers.

Thanks for the info Clive, being able to change the calipers and get away from the hydraulic anti-dives is the the upgrade I was referring to👍
