Lets talk about local demos, who might be going from this forum that we might meet, and most importantly, what you think of a hands-on look and ride. Although the bike is expected to start shipping to dealers after August 31, I expect there will be enough pre-orders that we likely won't find them at local dealers until end of this year or early 2018. I sent email to 3 dealers with demo days in July. They replied that they won't have the 2018 Venture on the Demo Trucks until its available to dealers in August. (2 dealers near Knoxville, TN, and one in SC. So Yamma was bit premature suggesting we should go see one at a demo day.

That listing states be one of the first to ride the new Venture and list it as one of the bikes. Guess I will have to get my name in the hat and get a ride on one not that I am thinking of getting one as my VR is doing just fine for me. Rick F.

My toe bone is dislocated and rubbing the bottom of my foot which caused a foot ulcer last summer. The toe has been dislocated for many years now caused by stepping on a roofing nail and not knowing it until I took my shoe off hours later! Anyway, they are going to do a little trimming of the bone as an outpatient procedure, and I will be pretty much immobile for a few weeks! So, if anybody is in the Western New York area in July, stop on by and keep me company...

Normally they set up demo rides at the speedway and the last few years also set up at the AIM show in Orlando at the convention center on the same weekend. Both are large events and draw huge crowds, what is up with that?
