videoarizona Posted May 29, 2017 #1 Posted May 29, 2017 I'm on the road, but looking over some news on scoots, saw a very brief, one line, about Honda has a new patent on a V4 for motorcycle. 2017-2018. Sorry that's all I know, but maybe some one that can research this... Be heartbroken if Honda goes in that direction and Yamaha does not...
Davin Posted May 29, 2017 #2 Posted May 29, 2017 Could it be the new superbike V4 perhaps? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

RandyR Posted May 31, 2017 #4 Posted May 31, 2017 Sorta like one of these 1984 beauties? 1984 Honda Magna V30
BratmanXj Posted May 31, 2017 #5 Posted May 31, 2017 Honda's had a long line on the V4 in both sport and cruiser applications. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_VF_and_VFR
CaseyJ955 Posted May 31, 2017 #6 Posted May 31, 2017 The VXX Sabers were always desirable bikes, not the he least of which is the V65. Even a Magna is sweet. Looking at this new Honda I'm reminded of the oldschool VFR we all lusted after in the 80s. Even has the red, white and blue. Will be fun to see what comes of it.

BratmanXj Posted June 1, 2017 #9 Posted June 1, 2017 Kind of like the Honda CTX 1300 V4 myself........just saying I forgot about the Honda ST1300 & CTX1300 "mini-block" V4 engines, while similar in design they are different architecture than the VF & VFR motors.
Du-Rron Posted June 1, 2017 #10 Posted June 1, 2017 I liked my V65 Sabre. Wish I would have never sold her. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/dbtgallery.php?do=view_image&id=28060&gal=gallery http://www.venturerider.org/forum/dbtgallery.php?do=view_image&id=28062&gal=gallery http://www.venturerider.org/forum/dbtgallery.php?do=view_image&id=28171&gal=gallery http://www.venturerider.org/forum/dbtgallery.php?do=view_image&id=28169&gal=gallery

VentureYZ Posted June 1, 2017 #12 Posted June 1, 2017 Those V65 Sabres are a breed of their own. I still have my 84 that I purchased in 1985. Just put all stainless lines on it and made a new fork brace for it.
slowrollwv Posted June 1, 2017 #13 Posted June 1, 2017 I still have my Sabre in the shed, can't reach the ground anymore so the oldest son took it over.
