The passing of another Rock Legend

I just looged in to Yahoo to check mail and saw where one of the members of a great Souther Rock Icon band passed away. Greg Allman of the Allman Brothers band passed away @ 69. This is probably one of the number one bands I listened to as a teen and have dug them ever since.

Living here in Georgia as I do, we hear a lot about the Allman bros. I live across town from where 2 are buried. Locals have known for a yr that's he's been very sick because he's been cancelling tour dates and making trips to the mayo clinic since last yr. His death wasn't unexpected here. It's still sad.

Yea I saw something on VH1 or Paladia or somewhere a year or so ago on him. He was looking pretty ill then really. Guys from that era are all almost gone. Some went at a really young age, they lived hard. Like they were 8 ft tall and bullet proof.

There are some good bands coming along in their footsteps. Black Berry Smoke comes to mind and a young guy Chris something I think.
