As the title states, I'm interested in buying a 1984 owners manual for my Venture Royal. I see them all the time on eBay for pretty cheap, but I seem to find two different types of manuals, one has a yellow cover and the other has a burgundy leatherette cover.

Does anyone know which is the correct one for my bike?

The yellow cover manual is for the Standard Venture and the brown/burgundy leatherette is for the Venture Royale.

I'm not sure what you mean by pretty cheap. I just did a search on ebay for one and they seem to be in the $70 buck range. MOF there's one on there right now. MANUAL Since the '84 has a unique one year only choke control they might be even rarer than the other 1stGens... Since they're going on 33 years old you may want to jump on it.... :-)

I understand you wanting to find an original manual but you down download a PDF version from the tech library area.
