MrRadi8 Posted April 21, 2008 #1 Posted April 21, 2008 Anybody go this route? http://www.baronscustom.com/catalog/display/759/index.html I have the risers on already. They state no change in cables. Not sure how well that works.
royalstarjac Posted April 21, 2008 #2 Posted April 21, 2008 I have the risers also. It was a stretch using the stock lines with them so I find it hard to believe that they would work with the Starbars. Maybe a good excuse to upgrade to braided ss lines.-Jack
Dieseldawg Posted April 21, 2008 #3 Posted April 21, 2008 Went for a ride this weekend and noticed that my right shoulder was soar afterwards.Do the use of the Starbars and reccomended risers cure this? I ride a '03 Midnight Venture and plan to do some longer rides this summer. Also if you use this combo besides new brake lines do you have to worry about carburetor cables being too short?
royalstarjac Posted April 21, 2008 #4 Posted April 21, 2008 I was getting a stabbing pain between the shoulders after only an hour of riding. The risers helped to extend the time before my shoulders would start to hurt. Then I installed the Utopia drivers backrest. Problem solved! I rode all day yesterday with no pain. What a pleasure it is to be rid of that knife in the back feeling.-Jack
