OrlinEngh Posted May 16, 2017 #1 Posted May 16, 2017 Been spending a lot of time getting our campground back in order after the flooding last fall. I was getting to the point where I was thinking is this worth all of the work. I am close to being done as I can be for this year and we got our camper down there and set up and we have spent a few nights down there. Sure can sleep good listening to the creek flow by. And I said sure is nice to be down here again. So last night they are saying we are going to get thunder storms, I wake up to the camper setting in 6 inches of water I can hear the creek is up and water flowing down threw the water way. I told Sharon that where I parked the camper that it gets a puddle out front when it rains, well the pickup setting in about 8 inches of water in front of the camper so we walk threw the water to the pick up get in and look around rest of the campground is fine, just where I put the camper this time is where all of the water seems to find its way to. I guess that I will be moving the camper, seemed like such a nice spot to. Orlin
slowrollwv Posted May 16, 2017 #2 Posted May 16, 2017 Orlin sorry you got your feet wet but it is better than waking up floating down stream.
Flyinfool Posted May 16, 2017 #3 Posted May 16, 2017 Perfect opportunity to pick out the driest spot for the camper. Look at the other bright side, you were not sleeping in a tent.................. Someday soon we will be back to drought and everyone will be wishing for some rain. But this is sure the wettest spring we have had in a while. My yard is so soft I can not get the bike out.
