clutch gasket alternative

Hi All

 

Im in the middle of upgrading my clutch with a barnetts kit. Just opened the package for my clutch gasket and it is the wrong gasket. Are there any alternatives. i was hoping to take a trip this weekend to Oklahoma city.. No one can get a gasket to me overnight.

you can always make one using either gasket paper from the hardware store or the side of a breakfast cereal box a pair of scissors and a stanley knife take about 15 minutes a small ball pain hammer is handy as well .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rx5hGKt1PY .

I know that on the stator side you must have the gasket for proper clearance on the starter gears. But I do now that the clutch side has anything that close. try putting the cover on with no gasket and spin the engen over to see if anything hits. IF nothing hits then you can use an RTV gasket for a temp fix.
