FROG MAN Posted April 21, 2008 #1 Posted April 21, 2008 So how often do you change your battery. I got over three years out of my 84 battery. I'm going to pull it out and charge it and see what it does for holding a charge. I should have charged it this winter but didn't and now it has drained to the point of my small automatic charger won't revive it.So if I can get 3+ years out of a $50 battery will a $125 Odyssey last for 7 or 8 years? I don't mind changing it every 3 or 4 years so I might shop around checking local prices. If I can find a good battery with at least 350 CCA for a deal I might try it.
Freebird Posted April 21, 2008 #2 Posted April 21, 2008 I wish that I could answer your question but since my Odyssey is still going strong, I can't yet. It is now 4 years old. If it craps out this year then it probably wasn't worth the extra money. If it keeps going at least another couple of years, then it probably was. Just don't know yet.
jbillerzippo Posted April 21, 2008 #3 Posted April 21, 2008 I just installed a battery in my 03 I payed 80.00 at Advanced Auto I checked Autozone an the price was within a few cents. By the way this would have been the 4th summer for it.
Skid Posted April 21, 2008 #4 Posted April 21, 2008 Interstate Batteries I've used Interstate Batteries for several years in all my vehicles, and in the scoot. I got about 5 or 6 years on my last one and have about 2 years on this one without any problems. Interstate Battery also has a exact replacement with new probe that will plug up to the existing wiring.... of coarse my scoot is on the road every month which I thinks helps the battery life to keep it charged up year round.....
