Just wanted to let our friends know that Nancy's father passed away yesterday.

75 years old and lived a good life. A very giving man...a class act as a man, spouse, father. Passed away at home. He must have gotten up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and had what we believe was a heart attack. Nancy's mother found him when she got up in the morning. She remembers that the last thing he said to her before turning out the lights was that he loved her.

They were married 51 years so you can imagine the impact on Nancy's mother. Nancy is staying with her this week to help her thru. Many neighbours have been helpful and supportive to Nancy's mother, and shows how well liked he was by people that knew him.

Please tell Nancy she is in our thoughts at this difficult time. Sounds like her Father was one of the "good guys" and he enjoyed a full life, although alittle too short.

Hugs to Nancy and family.

What a shame for Nancy's mom to find him this way.

Thank you so much for the warm condolenses, my father was the most kindest, loving and friendliest man you would ever meet. He would welcome anyone and everyone he met with a gracious and happy greeting, you became family the moment you walked in his home. He has a very huge network of friends and family he will be Sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I just recently lost a good friend myself so I'm kind of at a loss for words, but I give you my deepest sympathy as I know the feeling, I have lost both of my parents and it's never easy to take...

Thank you for the notes. The funeral was today and Nancy did show her mother the condolences. Ed was really well liked, had a large turnout of friends and family.

Nancy has been staying with her mother since Tueday and will be coming home on Sunday. Nancy's brother arrived Thursday evening from China and will be here for two weeks. Nancy's mother (Joyce) has really great neighbours so she has lots of support.

Again, from Nancy, myself, and the family....thank you for the notes here and to Carl and Robin for coming to the visitation in support of the family. As always, a great family here on VR.org.
