Yammer Dan Posted April 15, 2017 #1 Posted April 15, 2017 I know we got it somewhere but couldn't find. Thickness of disks?? New and what is acceptable??
RDawson Posted April 15, 2017 #2 Posted April 15, 2017 Don't remember new but book says minimum 2.8 mm-.11 inch.
Skid Posted April 17, 2017 #3 Posted April 17, 2017 Are you getting ready to do some clutch work? LOL
Flyinfool Posted April 17, 2017 #4 Posted April 17, 2017 A new plate is 3mm (.1181 inch) thick. The wear limit is 2.8mm (.1102 inch) thick. Not much difference from new to worn out.
Yammer Dan Posted April 18, 2017 Author #5 Posted April 18, 2017 Thanks Jeff. Now if I can remember how to read my micrometer.
Yammer Dan Posted April 19, 2017 Author #7 Posted April 19, 2017 They looked so good we didn't even try to measure them.
Skid Posted April 20, 2017 #9 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) Did you go with the stronger spring? Yes I did the Skydoc clutch spring upgrade. The clutch disc was all replaced about three years ago and still looked new. Edited April 20, 2017 by Skid
