Air Ready Auto Posted April 7, 2017 #1 Posted April 7, 2017 Apparently Lucy's screw you I'm not starting temp is 38 and windy. Helpful to know... just not when I'm about to head home from work.
Flyinfool Posted April 7, 2017 #2 Posted April 7, 2017 My bike is always ready willing and able. I have started it in as low as 10°F. It took full choke and 3 seconds on the starter instead of the half choke and split second on the starter it takes in the summer. My bike will not start with no choke unless it is over 100°F, or the engine is still warm from riding.
CaseyJ955 Posted April 7, 2017 #3 Posted April 7, 2017 I noticed both the V4s start easier since installing COPs. I use a little choke if its nippy but during summer I dont use it. Is the bike stuck at work still with a no-start issue? Hows the battery?
SpencerPJ Posted April 7, 2017 #4 Posted April 7, 2017 A squirt of Ether in the carbs works every time.
Air Ready Auto Posted April 8, 2017 Author #5 Posted April 8, 2017 Mine has always started fine with half choke. This was the first time trying to start that cold though. The battery is 13 months old and didn't quit she just wouldn't fire up. I wheeled her in the shop and set a turbo heater near her and she fired right up after about 10 min or so. Made it home without a problem. It was 41 this morning and she fired up no problem. I'm thinking she might have been mad at me or something.
Flyinfool Posted April 8, 2017 #6 Posted April 8, 2017 How old are your spark plugs. These bikes really like fresh plugs.

Maybe if it does it again do a key off/on, sounds like she probably was pissed about something. You have to buy them stuff now and again or face terrible tantrums.
