sydem Posted March 26, 2017 #1 Posted March 26, 2017 It is time to upgrade the lighting on the bike, I am making use of this thread to install the same headlight and have a question, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?119811-Changing-to-a-LED-Headlamp is the chrome ring all that holds the new headlight in the factory bucket? I also got the matching driving lights, they look like a fairly straight forward install compared to the headlight.
slowrollwv Posted March 26, 2017 #2 Posted March 26, 2017 If you have an RSV you do not have to remove anything. Turn the bars to the right as far as you can and remove the bulb. It is a little tight if you have big hands but can be done. The outer chrome ring is bolted to the fairing. The lens is glued to the bucket.
sydem Posted March 27, 2017 Author #3 Posted March 27, 2017 Thanks for the reply but I'm not changing just the bulb but putting in a whole new LED headlight.
slowrollwv Posted March 27, 2017 #4 Posted March 27, 2017 OK then you will have to remove the lens and you might also have to trim the back of the bucket for every thing to fit. I went with an HID light for mine.
