cowpuc Posted March 17, 2017 #1 Posted March 17, 2017 When I see stuff like this it just puts a great big proud smile on my face (check out the mileage).. Cant help but wonder if this belonged to one of our members - if so,, come to Michigan this year sometime and ol Pucster will gladly give ya pat on the back accompanied with an afternoon of free Hot Dogs!!! http://yamahaoflasvegas.com/Motorcycles-Yamaha-Royal-Star-R-Venture-2005-Las-Vegas-NV-80c6f161-b800-4f2d-9811-a687010ef380
BlueSky Posted March 17, 2017 #2 Posted March 17, 2017 The dealer probably gave the PO $500 for it in trade!
videoarizona Posted March 18, 2017 #3 Posted March 18, 2017 I tell ya, if I had the bux...I think I would buy it just as a spare! Darn scoot is just getting broken in...
stickhandle2 Posted March 18, 2017 #4 Posted March 18, 2017 They are a great machine, my 02 Midnight is just at 149,000km barely broken in. Mike
XV1100SE Posted March 18, 2017 #5 Posted March 18, 2017 Paint job is amazing...silver in four of the pictures, black in another. How do they get it to look different colours in different angles? The two dealer shots...the only add-on is the trunk rack, cut down or lower windscreen, grips, and maybe passing lights (not Yamaha). Missing the tank badges... Other than that, looks stock.
videoarizona Posted March 22, 2017 #6 Posted March 22, 2017 Yea that...about the pics... Add the Burlwood dash treatment ?? what the....?? I have the evil twin sister...
Sylvester Posted March 23, 2017 #7 Posted March 23, 2017 Miles mean nothing. I have over 200k on my 02 and when I was with Star Touring a member had 296k on a 99 RSV and that was in 2005. The burl wood is and applicay that I have on my bike also. Looked great new but the sun does it harm. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was within 200 miles.
Chaharly Posted March 23, 2017 #8 Posted March 23, 2017 I try to show this stuff to Dad when he tries feeding me the whole "Ventures just aren't nearly as dependable as Goldwings"
BlueSky Posted March 24, 2017 #9 Posted March 24, 2017 I suspect it could be bought for a lot less than $2999. With all those miles, not many riders would want it. And you can buy a much lower mile Venture for just a little more. Craiglist in my area has an 08 advertised for $4600.

I agree that price seems quite inflated for a "general market" where most people would be greatly turned off my a high mileage bike. I had a hard time selling a 8yr old HD with 33k miles with most guys walking away saying its to worn out...

BratmanXj Posted March 24, 2017 #12 Posted March 24, 2017 For a Harley that is worn out..................... I guess your only suposta buy American, not ride it?
CaseyJ955 Posted March 24, 2017 #13 Posted March 24, 2017 For a Harley that is worn out..................... Just like you have dog years vs human years, you have HD years/miles vs real bike years/miles. With a rice burner 33k aint no mileage at all.
