Freebird Posted February 5, 2017 #1 Posted February 5, 2017 Looks like on July 15th they will be auctioning off over 700 cars and other vehicles from a private collection. Auction is in Norwalk, OH which is only about 30 minutes down the road. I may go if I am able to. Wish I had LOTS of money though. http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2017/01/31/collectors-700-car-stash-heading-to-auction.html some pretty good pictures here: http://www.vanderbrinkauctions.com/auctions_pictures.php?page=1&detail=205
snyper316 Posted February 5, 2017 #2 Posted February 5, 2017 Ok I am a sucker for those old trucks, but I am sure those will get bid up. Still be fun to go tho!
BlueSky Posted February 5, 2017 #3 Posted February 5, 2017 Car collectors will be salivating over that auction. Would be interesting just to go and see all those old and unique vehicles.
Gary N. Posted February 5, 2017 #4 Posted February 5, 2017 WOW! Thanks for posting this Don. It would be fun to go to just for the entertainment value. I haven't seen that many milk trucks in one place since I was a kid.
bongobobny Posted February 5, 2017 #5 Posted February 5, 2017 Man, at least a dozen or so I would like to have!! Lots of Packards, Stupidfakers, and semi-exotic foreign cars! Even an old Hudson which is dear to my heart! I would like that Gold Hawk, and that 56 Desoto, 57? Dodge, the Austin Healey just to mention a few. Would love to go to that just to take pictures and reminisce...
Freebird Posted February 5, 2017 Author #6 Posted February 5, 2017 Well, maybe if some of you want to go, we can get together here and go together. Might be a fun day. Will have to see how my schedule looks when it gets a bit closer though. I am slammed right now.
cecdoo Posted February 5, 2017 #7 Posted February 5, 2017 Might be a good venue for a meet-n-eat, but it will probably be slim pickens on hotel rooms? Like others have said, would really be a neat thing just to walk around and check out all those cars!!!!
cecdoo Posted February 5, 2017 #8 Posted February 5, 2017 Guess we were typing at the same time!!! Brilliant minds think alike:thumbsup2:
cowpuc Posted February 5, 2017 #9 Posted February 5, 2017 WOWZY WOW WOW WOW = TOTALLY AWESOME BROTHER!!!!!:dancefool::dancefool: OP is kinda busy on the 15th,,,, wonder if he would turn us in for vagrancy if, on his way out for work on the morning of the 15th of July he noticed a few lop eared auction going VR biker varmints camped at the end of his driveway:Laugh: Stick our heads out of the tents and wave at em on his way out the driveway = sure sounds like a RIOT!!! PS: probably should bring the car/trailer - I see a 45 inch flat head Harley:Bunny2: and side hacked 46 Indian Chief:Bunny2: that I would LOVE to drag home!!!!! Also LOVE those micro cars - would LOVE to land an "Urkle Car" Your right bossman - wish I was wealthy too!!
Marcarl Posted February 5, 2017 #10 Posted February 5, 2017 I agree, I might spend some of my money, but only if I was 40 still. Seems to me iffin I was to land one of these in my yard I'd be old and grey before I would have a chance to actually drive it somewhere, and then my kids would probably put me somewhere so I couldn't drive it damage it maybe. So seeing as I'm somewhat over 45 I'll keep my funds for more important things, like IceCream, but I would be up to going for a looksee.

Combine our retirement funds and eat till we almost puke.. Ride over to Don's at midnight, turn our bikes off at the end of his drive way and coast over to the pine trees.. After unloading our gear = Put branches around them and quietly (means NO Carl) walk back to backside of the pond where no monsters live. I looked there during MD (always looking for a "just in case" emergency camp ground - place is AWESOME) and noticed plenty of room to camp and not get .. Get up, go back to DQ for breakfast.. Bring your GPS so we dont have to trust my incredible skills in finding places we are heading so we get to auction before its over..
Freebird Posted February 5, 2017 Author #12 Posted February 5, 2017 Folks, there is always camping here at the Nelson Campground.

bongobobny Posted February 6, 2017 #15 Posted February 6, 2017 Hey, if we make a day of it, I'm in! Too old to camp, though, I'll stay in a hotel room...
Marcarl Posted February 6, 2017 #16 Posted February 6, 2017 I'll see if I can get Ben to come along, then we'll send them two out for IC at the Oberlin DQ. Should be a good nights sleep after that I tink!
Marcarl Posted February 6, 2017 #17 Posted February 6, 2017 But you haven't seen our new bus....40,000 lbs. Might make a rut or four in your front yard. Nah,,, just put the wings out first, that's why they're there ain't it?
djh3 Posted February 7, 2017 #18 Posted February 7, 2017 I dunno why, but I always kind of liked them style milk trucks. Would be neat to refurb one and make a food truck out of it. I figured Puc would lay eyes on that blue HD. I dig the old check marathon also. They sure had an eclectic collection of goods.
