sho_greg Posted January 16, 2017 #1 Posted January 16, 2017 My speakers have went out for my JM headest... I sit a simple positive negative for the speakers? I want to splice them at the speaker. Thanks
djh3 Posted January 16, 2017 #2 Posted January 16, 2017 Yup, I forget OHM rating. But there are some videos on you tube showing using computer headsets for you helmet. Your biggest issue is going to be soldering the hair thin wires without melting them into oblivion. We have a couple discontinued discount stores here that have headsets for about $5. One of the stores is Big Lots I think the other use to be called Buddys. Dremel tool, some hot glue and velcro. And you'll probably have better sound to boot. Or the other option is just use earbuds and knock out the road and wind noise.
snyper316 Posted January 16, 2017 #3 Posted January 16, 2017 If I'm soldering thin wire I generally hit the solder point on the head phones and stick the wire to it. But yeah headphones wires are real thin sometimes have fiber like material. I never did have much luck with that stuff. Living life one curve after the other. Vroom scooting, thru the countryside.
etcswjoe Posted January 16, 2017 #4 Posted January 16, 2017 Are you sure it is the speakers and not the junction or cable? Have never had a speaker go out but have had plenty of cords go bad especially J&M.
