snyper316 Posted December 21, 2016 #1 Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) I placed a bid on item on ebay and won it. However as you can see in the pictures the grip side for the throttle pull is broke where i guess it is plastic. I won't be using the whole cable set. I just need the cable push on the carburetor side. Which I notice there is two nubs, Which I have never had to mess with this cable because it has been broken since I bought the bike almost 2 yrs ago. I figured since I picked this whole kit and cuboodle up for just 14.99 plus 4.00 in shipping I couldn't really go wrong. It had the buy it now price of 29.99 plus the 4.oo shipping. So my two questions on this are is this fixable? How does the two nubs go in the plate because I only see two slots one is for throttle pull the other for throttle push. I have looked for diagrams how this cable goes in but to no evail I can't seem to find one. Also the person let me know when they went to put it in the box they noticed it was broken, and asked if I wanted to move forward. I figured hell why not, When I called the Salvage/Bike shop he was gonna sell me just the push cable for 15.00. So I think I got a good deal on it, Just have no clue how it connects to the Carburetor. Edited December 22, 2016 by snyper316 How not who
snyper316 Posted December 24, 2016 Author #2 Posted December 24, 2016 Ok, Now that I got it I seen what that nub was I got the cables all lubed up used motor oil, a corner of a baggie and a rubber band worked out fairly easy. I also found that cable in the grip was also broke. Fairly easy at replacing the cables now I put the junction box together last a bit of a PITA. Got it done tho I am just gonna dread it if I got to pull the carbs out again tho. Haven't got the carbs down yet tho because I am thinking about just putting the YICS chamber back in those middle plugs scare me. Just because how hard they are to get to once everything is back on the bike. My thoughts tho wasn't there a mod where someone switched the vacuum hoses on the chamber? Would it even make a difference on where you plugged the hoses into. I know how they are supposed to go just curious if say someone switched the hoses around.
