Help final asembly of 2ND GEN rear caliper question

I can't figure out the way the top spring plate goes- over the back and under the front pin or over the back and over the front. Either way the dust cover won't snap and stay. Which way is correct? I have the arrow pointing toward the front of the bike.

It is a spring and therefore goes under both so it puts pressure on the pads.duh!

never a stupid question! There are question you feel stupid for asking, I often figure something out as the question passes my lips, or as I hit the enter key on a post.

 

I thinking the mental process of formulating a coherent questions helps us think.
