mralex714 Posted January 6, 2017 Author #51 Posted January 6, 2017 I have a Morgan Carbtune and a near complete 86 parts bike and even offer assistance... that is if you don't mind having a "girl wrench" help out. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=108062 Thanks for the offer and I will let you know. BTW I have no problem with a "girl wrench" or anyone for that matter as long as you can do the job.
snyper316 Posted January 6, 2017 #52 Posted January 6, 2017 **** I would give anything to have a Girl Wrench around, I have known so many girls that fell for the blinker fluid trick!! I wonder if I our autozone still has the empty spot for the blinker Fluid. Here Lately I am a old school parts store or O'reilly's fan, Tired of dealing with people that don't know jack!! But Heather on the other hand Knows her stuff. She has came out of the woodwork and helped me several different Occasions. PS @yamagrl did you ever get that message from me I sent a couple weeks ago or was it last week? Or did I miss out.
yamagrl Posted January 6, 2017 #53 Posted January 6, 2017 PS yamagrl did you ever get that message from me I sent a couple weeks ago or was it last week? Or did I miss out. Yes. I replied to your email.
yamagrl Posted January 6, 2017 #54 Posted January 6, 2017 I did end up replacing the coils, and it appears I have continuous spark on all 4 cylinders, but still had the same issue. I already have the carbs out and there was an issue in that carb. I ended up changing the jet block and the float in that carb and I also rechecked all the float levels. I'll reinstall them tomorrow, fingers crossed. Cool! If you want to borrow my carbtune let me know. I also have 4 new caps/plugs that hold the float needle valve in place.
mralex714 Posted January 7, 2017 Author #55 Posted January 7, 2017 I reinstalled the carbs today, 1 step forward 2 steps back. The problem cylinder got hotter and it ran better, but still about 50-60 degrees lower than the other 3 at about 145, but I did get the carbs to sync with 10 inches of vacuum. Now the 2 steps back, I either adjusted a float too high or it is stuck:doh:. The starter clutch is done for. I bought this thing off of ebay and replaced it this past April and it has nothing but driveway starts on it.
