CMCOFFEY Posted November 20, 2016 Author #26 Posted November 20, 2016 I decided to tear into my TCI. After getting part of the way in I actually stopped caring about not breaking it. I could not get the connectors in soldered, so I just cracked the board right there. Here are the pics. The first is the screws that hold the TCI housing shut. 2 snapped and the other 2 lost threads. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/coffeyR6/Mobile%20Uploads/PHOTO_20161119_155055.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/coffeyR6/Mobile%20Uploads/PHOTO_20161119_151223.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/coffeyR6/Mobile%20Uploads/PHOTO_20161119_151853.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/coffeyR6/Mobile%20Uploads/PHOTO_20161119_154405.jpg I only lost 1 cylinder, so it is not as bad as I expected it to look. The leads from the plug to the board were all very rusty.
Flyinfool Posted November 29, 2016 #27 Posted November 29, 2016 Believe it or not, that is one of the cleaner boards that I have seen. That brown goo all over the place is a factory applied coating that is supposed to be there.

I was more concerned with the amount of rust and a few resisters that looked like they had been overworked. The leads going from the board to the pins were bad. I bet most of my problem was there. Not that it matters much now. I will have a new TCI here today as long as DHL will take the signature of someone who is not me. My bike is still in a million pieces, so hopefully I can fix that this weekend.

CMCOFFEY Posted November 30, 2016 Author #30 Posted November 30, 2016 Let me know if you need the program Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk That would be awesome if you could send me a good program. My email is Christopher.coffey@hotmail.com Was the TCI supposed to come with a disk that contains the custom programming program or can you download the program?

When I got mine from Dingy he programmed it and also sent software. Sometime in 2014 he sent me an updated ignition program file. Min also came with map sensor. Mine will likely be up for sale soon.
