mabeline Posted November 12, 2016 #1 Posted November 12, 2016 I don't know if anybody has posted this yet. BMW has built their bagger from their concept bike from about a year ago, built by Roland Sands. Any takers ? I don't see a price. They're calling it feet forward design, but the pegs are to far back for my over grown legs! http://www.bmwblog.com/2016/10/10/bmw-k-1600-b-makes-world-premiere-today/
Freebird Posted November 12, 2016 #2 Posted November 12, 2016 I had seen that a while back. I actually like it but would want to see it with a tour pack and etc. Not a complete tourer as is, in my opinion.
M61A1MECH Posted November 12, 2016 #3 Posted November 12, 2016 That is BMW's answer to Honda's F6B. http://powersports.honda.com/cruiser/2016/gold-wing-f6b/colors.aspx#kc32D4ZLjwkhktAW.97 http://www.youmotorcycle.com/honda-gold-wing-f6b-review.html
camos Posted November 12, 2016 #4 Posted November 12, 2016 That is BMW's answer to Honda's F6B. http://powersports.honda.com/cruiser/2016/gold-wing-f6b/colors.aspx#kc32D4ZLjwkhktAW.97 http://www.youmotorcycle.com/honda-gold-wing-f6b-review.htmlYes, in the same way the Gen1 Venture was the answer to the Goldwing. It's so pretty that if it wasn't for the logo no one would know it was a BMW. A bagger or a cruiser are not up to snuff for touring. It is not just the lack of a tour pack but the miserably inadequate seating for the co-pilot.
CaseyJ955 Posted November 12, 2016 #5 Posted November 12, 2016 Thats might purdy! I wonder if it's tuned differently then the K1600GT/L. Nothing like an inline 6, especially a bimmer. I'm not ready to spend the coin but still
bongobobny Posted November 13, 2016 #6 Posted November 13, 2016 Looks like a fun ride, but as Don said, not particularly a touring bike...
mabeline Posted November 17, 2016 Author #7 Posted November 17, 2016 Maybe they'll come out with a tour pack for it in a year or so. Nothing a $1000-$1500 can't take care of. If Beemer is doing their homework and going to offer lots of accessories ( Chrome ) they might have a hit. The bags look a little shallow !? But what's with those massive mufflers, I've seen smaller pipes on semis.
snyper316 Posted November 17, 2016 #8 Posted November 17, 2016 Hell they come with reverse, Hydraulic Kickstands, I pulled up in the Wal-Mart Parking lot and it was an older Gentleman. I asked him about the bike his was a Full Tourer Package, But it sure was sharp Bike, He told me its an older mans ride, that want to stay on 2 wheels. I got to say just having a reverse would be kind of awesome to me or when my knee's just can't get the bike on the center stand. I like my ride just the way it is. But I do wonder if these bikes are cheaper then Harley's.
Condor Posted November 17, 2016 #9 Posted November 17, 2016 I think it kinda looks like a Gen I with out the trunk. Gotta love those inline 6's... Yamaha dropped the ball again..... Where the heck is a FI V6 when you want it...??
Kretz Posted November 17, 2016 #10 Posted November 17, 2016 No doubt the "tour"pack" will be available sometime at an extortionate cost. Nice looking bike though but very Honda FB6 looking. As someone commented the passenger doesn't look too well catered for.
Sailor Posted November 17, 2016 #11 Posted November 17, 2016 I would love to have one but undoubtedly far out of my price range.
leroy Posted November 18, 2016 #12 Posted November 18, 2016 That is BMW's answer to Honda's F6B. http://powersports.honda.com/cruiser/2016/gold-wing-f6b/colors.aspx#kc32D4ZLjwkhktAW.97 http://www.youmotorcycle.com/honda-gold-wing-f6b-review.html And I don't care for the looks of either. But each to their own. That is why there is a menu.
wizard Posted November 22, 2016 #13 Posted November 22, 2016 That is the best looking BMW I've seen yet.
