Dragonslayer Posted November 10, 2016 #1 Posted November 10, 2016 What activates the POST like and thank buttons. I've noticed that many of my post don't have that option. Is it something that I may have accidentally deleted or is someone messing with me. I'm trying to not take it personally but truth be known, I'm a little sad that others get high fives for their post and I don't.
Flyinfool Posted November 10, 2016 #2 Posted November 10, 2016 I can not say that I have ever noticed the thank or like button not being there on yours or any one else post. On the other hand, you will not see a thank or like button on your own post. If you log in as someone else then they will be there, you can not thank or like your own post.
CaseyJ955 Posted November 10, 2016 #3 Posted November 10, 2016 I enjoy your posts, I'm new to like features because I'm not a facebook/twitter/snapchat/anything else user so it's still sporadic.
yamagrl Posted November 10, 2016 #4 Posted November 10, 2016 I don't think you can you can Like or Thank yourself so the buttons won't show up when you are viewing your own posts
bongobobny Posted November 10, 2016 #5 Posted November 10, 2016 They might be hard to see being in the black bottom border on the left side, but they are there! Look for the smiley and the thumbs up... PS I really only posted to see if I can "like" or "thank" myself.

Don't want you feeling left out.
snyper316 Posted November 10, 2016 #8 Posted November 10, 2016 there noticed you got some likes and thanks for the post so I added on to so you don't feel left out. Don't want you feeling left out. I also notice that on my own post I think its just something so we can't be favoritable of ourselves I find that silly on facebook you can like your own post.
bongobobny Posted November 10, 2016 #9 Posted November 10, 2016 Gee, does that mean we can't like ourselves??
Freebird Posted November 10, 2016 #10 Posted November 10, 2016 It is true that you can't give "thanks" or "likes" for your own posts. I see that option on everybody's posts except my own though.

Good Grief... there IS someone else in the world who isn't on facebook/ snapchat/ twitter/ instagram etc (I am not alone! lol)
CaseyJ955 Posted November 10, 2016 #12 Posted November 10, 2016 Good Grief... there IS someone else in the world who isn't on facebook/ snapchat/ twitter/ instagram etc (I am not alone! lol) Nope, your not alone. It just seems like such a colossal waste of time and so much needless drama, it doesn't add anything to my life. If I'm going to sit in front of the monitor for any length of time, I'm going to play a *****en' video game. My wife uses it because of all her family back in the Philippines and it's the cheapest way to share pics and talk. It's a private profile and only ppl on the list are her family so it's not really used like social networking. If a need or benefit to using it arises I'll jump in, but for now its a time suck with no payoff.

So I am not the only 39 yr old man that plays ####en' video games and sometimes post clips to youtube? Yeh I get messages thru messenger on facebook asking me if I seen this or that and once in a great while I get on it to make a rant post that I can not post here.... some are good but I think I will be backing off facebook, now that everything is said and done, I also don't feel the need to air my dirty laundry there or read about someone else's dirty laundry

Most of my vid gaming is just good ol' single player relaxin'. Maybe like Fallout 4, Mad Max, Far Cry 3 or 4, Doom, things like that. Oh yea, and I probably waste to much time on Path of Exile. It's all good, whatever anyone likes to do. I got 10 years on you haha, I started playing Doom2 in 95. Vid games are the time suck I'm guilty of. Edited November 10, 2016 by CaseyJ955
snyper316 Posted November 10, 2016 #16 Posted November 10, 2016 I used to be die hard Call of Duty fan I love multiplayer cause to be honest playing against real intelegence is more of a challenge to me the AI don't get me wrong I love doing the missions but anymore these games are getting crazy on the movements.
