Next July I'll be retiring!! yaaayyyyyyy! Nina has already retired as of Sep 1st.

Our plan is to sell the house, bike, much of our furniture and buy a big truck and a 5th wheel RV and travel USA and Canada for a couple years.

So, I got started this past weekend by trading in our '05 Chev 1500 Silverado for an '03 F-350 "King Ranch" complete with the 5th wheel hitch, etc.

V-10 POWER!!

You may want to talk to B2 mom and Dad. It seems like that was their plan too.

Congrats on the retirement and the new truck. I am getting ready to retire at the end of April also but I didn't get a fifth wheel camper. I got a ford powered motor home instead. Not a big one but enough room for four when we go hunting or fishing.

We thought about a class A motorhome pulling a toad but getting some of those bigger motorhomes into some places just can't be done and try to back up with a toad in tow.... so we opted for the truck/5th wheel combo instead.

Ya... so looking forward to this "adventure"!

Which engine? V10 or 460 or?

CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE PICS AND FOLLOW YOUR ADVENTURES BROTHER :fingers crossed:

Gonna do it myself next year and we been talking something similar. Only in our case, cause we are hard core tent campers, our move toward a more comfortable way to tour is gonna probably be an extended cab 4x4 with a topper so we can still camp in obscure places and get a little more distance between the older bones and the ground.. We have high hopes of back trackin on some of the two tracks in the mountains out west when we could go no farther 2 up on Tweeks to answer that common nagging question = what really was wayyyy up there beyond those mud holes in Colorado and out in the State of Washington :missingtooth:

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Congrats. :happy34: We have talked about doing the same thing. But both mothers are still at home so it leaves us stuck in the snow for now. Nice truck. Enjoy.:big-grin-emoticon:

Congrats on retirement

Just make sure that

1. You don't spend too much time out of the country (or you might lose your citizenship) :canada:

2. You don't spend too much time in the US or they'll be taxing your pension :yikes:

Enjoy your travels:beer:
