Flyinfool Posted November 7, 2016 #26 Posted November 7, 2016 This topic kinda came up back in May. Try ORACLE VIRTUALBOX. This is what I use to run DOS, WIN3.1, and WINDOWS7 in a window under Windows 10. See here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?119573-WINDOWS-10-HI-jACK/page3&p=968367#post968367 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=107747 But that means that I have to have a Win 10 machine which is what I do NOT want to have.

Venturous Randy Posted November 12, 2016 Author #28 Posted November 12, 2016 I again had the Window's 10 update interruption yesterday morning about 6:30 and let it run with the twirling balls and black screen until about 9PM tonight. I then did the safe mode startup and spent another 30 minutes getting back to where I was. This is such a PITA. Randy
snyper316 Posted November 12, 2016 #29 Posted November 12, 2016 What windows used to be on your system? I do recall an update taking forever I unplugged anything connected to USB went wireless and unplugged my ethernet cord and ran update that way. I have the computer in the garage that I run 10 on it was originally win 7. I have to go to settings then windows update and recovery then unchecked some updates and kind of ran like 3 then 2 if they were small I would run 6. So maybe you could try that.
