bikerjohn Posted October 30, 2016 #1 Posted October 30, 2016 Just got the bike back from dealer ( they said they didnt go into the fairing). The problem is that the radio / including AUX when turned up to 30 on the volume you can barely hear it. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it. i can hear through front and rear both really low / but volume says 30 I am heading to Galveston on Thursday for Lone star rally and would like to fix before that if possible. Lucky still under warranty until Dec - so Back to dealer after the rally Thanks
camos Posted October 30, 2016 #2 Posted October 30, 2016 I don't know about 2nd Gens but the 1st Gen has a mute button that dramatically reduces the sound level. There is also a dial that controls the ambient sound level automatically so when in a quiet environment , like when idling, the level is reduced and when riding at speed the level is raised.
Marcarl Posted October 30, 2016 #3 Posted October 30, 2016 There is a connector in the faring that tends to come undone, or not connect. Don't know exactly which one, but if you go in there, you should clean them all for the time it takes.
M61A1MECH Posted October 30, 2016 #4 Posted October 30, 2016 Check the display on the audio control head to see if it shows "HS" that means someone toggled it to the headset position and not the speaker position. If it is on "HS", turn the volume down before you toggle it back to speakers or you will be buying new speakers.

bikerjohn Posted November 14, 2016 Author #7 Posted November 14, 2016 So just in case anyone else gets the symptoms I had with my 2012 look under the back seat. It was a $170- lesson for me, I probably move something when i messing with the antenna. Who would have thought a wire under the back seat would have made the whole radio go Quite.
Du-Rron Posted November 14, 2016 #8 Posted November 14, 2016 Who would have thought a wire under the back seat would have made the whole radio go Quite. Thank you for the update. It is something for us all to remember.
