Big Auggie Posted October 29, 2016 #1 Posted October 29, 2016 Why would they put an idiot light for the oil level when there already is a window to check it? The light came on today after I gassed up. If I can't find a replacement I might just cut the wire going to it!! (BTW the oil level was fine and is fresh.)
retrostude Posted October 29, 2016 #2 Posted October 29, 2016 If the oil level light doesnt come on under acceleration you arent riding it hard enough lol. They must have thought consumption might be an issue. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

The Venture is a deluxe touring bike and lifting it onto the center stand is difficult enough empty but lifting a fully loaded one would be next to impossible. If the oil warning comes on under hard acceleration or when going up a hill then it is time to check the level. It is one of the many perks that comes with a superiour touring machine. There is a float switch inside the case that can get clogged. (Thanks Puc. ) Check the connections first to see if there is an electrical issue.
