Puc, You trust the weather folks don't you?
Only till I walk out the door and climb on my scoot Leo :big-grin-emoticon:..

Getting up there in my motorcycle traveling years has found me = "see those rain clouds sweetheart? we better go the other way!!" = "but sweetheart, isnt that gonna add 1200 miles on our trip" = "I would rather ride an extra 1200 miles than risk getting wet" :big-grin-emoticon:

Leo you are getting very close to my back yard.

Hi Chuck! Yes, will be passing your way. Plan is to take interstates, except for Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. Cranford, NJ -> Winchester -> Roanoke -> Asheville -> Roanoke -> Chambersburg, PA -> Cranford, NJ. That's six days of driving. Have a medical procedure three days after I return, so need to stick to schedule. Have feeling I'm going to have some long driving days on Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway, speed limit is slow and roads are twisty. Certainly won't be able to pull over for every scenic overlook. Not sure if I will have to branch out to the interstates at some point. Will see how it goes. Leaving Sunday, after Saturday's rain. Weather should be great after that. I'm excited! You're welcome to ride along on any parts, if you like. Would certainly enjoy your company.

Last week we spent about a week in South Carolina, with a couple days in the middle of the state at Lake Greenwood State Park and then four days at Hunting Island State Park, east of Beaufort, exactly where Mathew is at right now. It is amazing what difference a week makes. We did get a rain on Monday night that was about four inches and it flooded a bunch of campsites, but we were OK.

I would like to join you Leo but unfortunately, we have to go to Morgantown to see our new born granddaughter that is in the hospital there.
