Well I'm at Iron Pony here in Westerville to get an oil change & new rear tire. They don't have a Michelin Comander in stock. I chose to go with a Metzler 888. Which is an upgraded version of the 880. It has a little stiffer sidewall. I'll get a review after a few hundred miles.

Hope they don't blow chunks of rubber like the 880's did...

The one on had on my bike didn't blow chunks. I wore it out because I didn't check the air pressure. Bad 10spd huh.

The trick to keeping Meltzer tires healthy is to keep them inflated at the pressures recommended by Metzler, do not use the Yamaha factory specs that are for the stock Bridgestone tires.

I just replaced my E3's, front and back with the same. I had 16,250 miles on the last ones. They still had tread, but started to make noise in corners. I could have ignored it and gone to 20k. I need more miles to break them in. No more driving to work (110 miles a day) this year. Too many dear in the morning.
