I have driven it in a car a couple of times. Very beautiful. There are a few places to stop and hike a little to look around. Hana is a cool little town. Best to plan on a day to really enjoy it.

We drove it a while ago. You do not have to turn around at the end. The road turns into a crushed lava track and continues. In fact I think it improves. If you continue it will take you all the way around. You will come to the church where Lindbergh is buried. From the church on it is a real nice drive, beautiful bike road. The road around the north east part is much scarier.
